Memorando de Acuerdo firmado con la China Film Copyright Association
Today at their annual meeting in Beijing, Writers and Directors Worldwide met with the China Film Copyright Association (CFCA) to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations. The aim of this agreement is to form a collaborative partnership that will help audiovisual creators in this fast growing region to achieve fair remuneration and build creative relationships around the world. The agreement was signed by Writers and Directors Worldwide president, Yves Nilly, and Mao Xiamao, vice chairman and secretary general of CFCA. The signing of this prestigious agreement was officially witnessed by Gadi Oron, CISAC Director General; Silvina Munich, CISAC Director of Creators Relations; and Ben Ng, CISAC Regional Director for Asia-Pacific. Mr Mao and the CFCA were especially supportive throughout the Beijing meetings and attended on each of the three days. In addition to supporting the screening of Zhao Linshan’s 2012 Chinese historical drama “The Assassins”, Mr Mao also delivered two keynote speeches. These included an overview of the creator and copyright landscape in China and a seminar presentation titled “Experience on Protecting Copyright of Creators”. Combined with the valuable input from the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) and Professor Wang Qian from the East China University of Political Science and Law, the audience gained a deep insight into copyright processes and creators’ challenges within this culturally fascinating region.
Hoy, en su reunión anual celebrada en Pekín, Writers and Directors Worldwide se reunió con la China Film Copyright Association (CFCA) para firmar un Memorando de acuerdo entre las dos organizaciones. El objetivo de este acuerdo es formar una asociación de colaboración que ayudará a los autores audiovisuales de esta región de rápido desarrollo a conseguir una remuneración equitativa y a forjar relaciones creativas en todo el mundo. El acuerdo fue firmado por el Presidente de Writers and Directors Worldwide, Yves Nilly, y Mao Xiamao, Vicepresidente y Secretario General de la CFCA. Este prestigioso acuerdo se firmó en presencia de Gadi Oron, Director General de la CISAC ; Silvina Munich, Directora de Relaciones con los Creadores de la CISAC ; y Ben Ng, Director de la Región de Asia-Pacífico de la CISAC.
El Sr. Mao y la CFCA prestaron un apoyo especial durante las reuniones de Pekín y asistieron a todas las reuniones celebradas en estos tres días. Además de presentar la proyección del drama histórico chino producido en 2012 por Zhao Linshan, “The Assassins”, el Sr. Mao pronunció distintos discursos principales. Estos incluyeron una descripción del creador y del panorama del derecho de autor en China y un seminario titulado “La experiencia de proteger los derechos de autor de los creadores”.
Junto con las valiosas aportaciones de la Administración Nacional de Derecho de Autor de China (NCAC) y del Profesor Wang Qian de la Universidad del Este de China de Ciencias Políticas y Derecho, los asistentes adquirieron una amplia perspectiva sobre los procesos del derecho de autor y los retos de los creadores dentro de esta región culturalmente fascinante.
